The film does have the classic Chris Nolan signature style in it's making.You must have watched The Dark Knight( if not, shame on you!!). Similar to it, Nolan creates an atmosphere of urgency, uncertainty and uses shots of simultaneous fast paced events. He successfully tricks the audience into forming their own conclusions only to be shattered in the very next scene. It's a film which requires the total attention of the audience to fully comprehend it. Hats off to the makers for conceptualizing the theme of stealing ideas by entering the one's dream. Except for a few anomalies( with such a complex script, it's expected), the story telling is extremely fluid and logical and uses amazing and extremely innovative CGI for creating the dream worlds. But the greatest success of the film lies in the fact that it lets you delve deep into the minds of the protagonists, thus giving it the feel of a psychological thriller.
Matrix vs Inception: A lot of people feel that the premise of Inception is similar to or copied from the Matrix films. It's true that the concept of manipulating people by entering their minds through an artificial dream world is similar to the Matrix. But where Inception stands out from Matrix or any other science-fiction is the fact that you understand the psyche of the characters. Whereas other sci-fi's concentrate more on story-telling and special effects, the psychological and emotional content gives the film an edge over the others. The concept of 'a dream within a dream within a dream' lets you go deeper and deeper into the consciousness and thoughts of the characters with every dream.
This is the sort of film which you definitely enjoy watching. Go, get your mind 'Incepted'.
